About CUSAT

One of the oldest law schools in India, the School of Legal Studies was established in the year 1962 as a part of Kerala University, offering post-graduate courses and research in law.

The Law School joined the folds of the University of Cochin, in the year 1971, which was later reorganized and renamed as Cochin University of Science and Technology in 1986 for the promotion of graduate, post-graduate studies and advanced research in various fields.

About the Summer School

The School of Legal Studies, CUSAT, has been successfully organizing Summer School on various topics of legal and social significance in contemporary times.

Since Competition Law is a sunrise subject that ensures more opportunities for law students, this one-week Summer School on Consumer and Competition Law will provide an opportunity to get hold a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of these subjects along with their practical applications.

This Summer School is a flagship initiative of the School of Legal Studies that laid a milestone in the academic field of Consumer and Competition Law in India.

General Details

  • Date: June 12, 2023 – June 16, 2023
  • Time: Classes will be held for 5 days from 09:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Mode: Online through Zoom Meeting.

Who is it for?

This summer school is open to all those who are interested in the subject of consumer and competition law.

Selection

Selection is based on first come, first serve. Therefore, it is requested that to submit the registration form at the earliest.

General Rules

  • Participants are required to attend all classes.
  • Attendance for the purpose of the evaluation is compulsory.
  • An online examination (MCQ) shall also be conducted at the end of the course.
