About the Dr. DR Singh Memorial British Parliamentary Debate
With the world embracing democracy wholeheartedly, PCTE Group of Institutes is back with Season XV of the enriching Dr. DR Singh Memorial British Parliamentary Debate on 14th and 15th Feb, 2025.
Last year, we welcomed 56 teams representing various institutes from across the country to take part in the esteemed DR Memorial Debate. This gathering celebrated the eloquence of structured discourse and the vibrant exchange of ideas, uniting participants in an intellectual exploration of profound geopolitical and other holistic themes.
We extend a formal invitation to your esteemed institution to participate in India’s premier Inter-varsity British Parliamentary debating championship, an event of unparalleled significance and prominence on the debating circuit.
The British Parliamentary debating format is the official format of the World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC). PCTEwith the active cooperation of LMA (Ludhiana Management Association) pioneered British Parliamentary Debate in the country almost 15 years ago.

Accommodation
Accommodation will be provided to students from outside Punjab free of cost within our Hostels.
Note – In case you need to stay longer (Post the event) you will have to make your own arrangements.
Registration
- No registration fee.
- One college can only register one team.
- For universities or groups of institutions a maximum of 2 teams are allowed.
