Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has today arrested SDI of Indian Post Office, Sub-Division, Maharajganj (U.P.) in a case relating to acceptance of Rs. 20,000/- as bribe from the complainant.

A case was registered by CBI against SDI of Indian Post Office, Sub-Division, Maharajganj on the allegations of demanding bribe of Rs. 40,000/- from the complainant for detachment from Brijmanganj to Anand Nagar.

CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while accepting Rs. 20,000/- from the complainant as part payment.

Searches are being conducted at the residential premises of the accused.

Accused will be produced before the Competent Court on 17.04.2024.

Investigation is continuing.
